What type of Companies does ExperienceGifts.com accept as Advertisers?
Any Activity or Leisure Company that wishes to attract visitors to its own website can be featured on ExperienceGifts.com. Advertisers must have a functioning website. Although ExperienceGifts.com focuses on the Gift Giving aspect of experiences and activities; Advertisers do not need to sell gift certificates in order to be featured on ExperienceGifts.com. Affiliates, Agents or Aggregators of activities are not currently accepted.
How much does it cost to be featured on ExperienceGifts.com?
ExperienceGifts.com operates a Cost-Per-Click system. Advertisers only pay for visitors sent directly to their website.
Advertisers can open an account for as little as $25.00. The Deposit Amount determines the price paid for each visitor to the Advertiser’s website. For example, with a deposit of $25.00, click throughs from ExperienceGifts.com to the Advertisers website are charged at 0.25¢ per click. As visitors are sent to the Advertiser’s website, 0.25¢ is deducted from the Deposit Amount. The larger the amount of initial deposit, the lower cost-per-click (CPC). Current CPC Rates are as follows:
Advertisers can set up their account to automatically add a deposit (Auto-Renew) when their account balance reaches a pre-determined amount. As a bonus, Advertisers who choose the Auto-Renew option receive the favorable Cost-Per-Click rate for the new balance, rather than the new deposit.
If Auto-Renew is setup to add a new deposit of $150.00 when the Advertiser’s Account Balance reaches $100, then the new balance within their Account will be $250.00. Therefore, the new Cost per Click Rate for the $150 deposit will be 0.125¢, rather than $0.15c per click (the charge normally associated with a $150.00 deposit).
How and when do Advertisers pay for Visitors?
All Deposits are made in advance. The Amount of the Deposit determines the Cost per Click (CPC). We currently accept all major Credit and Debit Cards. Please contact us if you wish to use a different method of payment and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Is there a Long-Term Commitment?
No. Advertisers may cancel their account at any time. Advertisers who wish to stop being featured on ExperienceGifts.com may let their Account Balance reach $0.00 at which point their profile and products will be removed from public view on the site within 24 hours. Additionally, Advertisers may also choose to show or hide any or all individual activities listed at any time.
How do I add my Business and Activities to ExperienceGifts.com?
Once an account is created, Advertisers may begin adding their Activities or Gift Certificates to the site. At the end of the initial sign-up process, Advertisers will be redirected to the ‘Add Activities’ tab. Alternatively, Advertisers may also click on the ‘Activities’ tab while logged into their account and click the ‘Add New Activity’ button.
How do I know how many visitors are being sent from ExperienceGifts.com?
Within all Advertiser Accounts there is a reporting function where Advertisers can see the number of visitors viewing their Company Profile and Activities listed, as well as the number of visitors clicking through to the Advertiser’s site. These reports can be found on the ‘Reports’ tab inside the Advertiser Account. There the performance for the whole account or for any individual Activity or for any given Period may be reviewed. The report will include the time and date of the click as well as the IP address of the visitor to show where the click originated. Our aim is always to be as transparent as possible in the reporting of Account Activity. Additionally, Advertisers can add their own tracking code to the URLs at an Activity level, to integrate with their own tracking software (Google Analytics for example).
Can Images and Video be added to Profiles or Products?
Advertisers can currently add as many images as they wish to profiles without limitation. They may also add videos to their profile; however all videos must be hosted on Youtube.com. We are currently working on a direct upload facility and will post details as soon as this is launched. Currently, only one image per product is possible.
How long does it take for Profiles and Activities to appear on ExperienceGifts.com?
All Profiles and Activities are reviewed within 24 hours. Profiles will either be published within 24 hours or you will be notified of any changes required for publication.
What determines where activities are listed?
During the Sign Up Process, Advertisers will be asked to choose a Main Category for their business such as Food & Wine or Airborne, and then a Sub Category for each individual activity. (Such as Cooking Classes or Skydiving).
What types of activities are not accepted for inclusion?
We reserve the right to decline the listing for any Activity for any reason. In general, we accept the majority of Profiles and Activities, although on occasion we may reject Activities we believe to be of an adult or questionable nature. If you believe your services could be construed in any way as not suitable for normal public viewing, please contact us before creating a profile and we will be happy to advise you.
