Setting off in the late afternoon, the sun will cast long shadows and turn the landscape a glorious golden hue - prime time for indigenous wildlife and kangaroos to appear. Following your gentle horseback ride, you can return to the farm to relax around a campfire or in their comfortable lounge area. Treat yourself to a glass of Sauvignon Blanc produced by the farm’s very own boutique winery. Sit back, relax and unwind, enjoying the spectacular setting of this fantastic venue.

This is a beautiful 1.5hour tour that ventures out into the surrounding countryside. It's a chance to view some of the local fauna, particularly kangaroos and our magnificent birdlife. In the winter months you can relax around the camp fire after your tour. A chance to savour the ride with new friends!
Activity FAQs
What do we wear?
Just wear any long trousers, enclosed shoes and clothing suitable for outdoor activities. We’ll supply helmets. We’ll also supply boots if necessary, so pack some socks if you aren’t wearing any. We have ablutions with hot showers so you are welcome to bring a change of clothes and a towel to freshen up after your ride.
What happens in rainy weather?
We will usually ride out in rainy weather, and have a selection of wet weather jackets that can be used on the day. If the weather is very stormy, with thunder and lightning etc we will attempt to reschedule tours . If rescheduling is not possible, the ride will be cancelled and you will be issued a credit or refund for your ride.
Is there somewhere for the non riders to wait?
Yes, there is a Clubhouse with a lounge area, magazines and books, games and children’s activities. There is also a treehouse area, children’s cubby house and sand pit playground. You are more than welcome to go bushwalking and bird watching in the surrounding bushland.
How long does it take to get to Jesters Flat from Margaret River?
We are approximately 20 minutes driving time from the Margaret River town.
There is limited mobile phone range on the way out to Jesters Flat, so make sure you have checked on a map before leaving town.
Can a young child ride on the same horse as an adult?
No, for safety reasons, we do not allow more than one person per horse.
Do you have Public Liability Insurance for horse riding?
We have comprehensive Public Liability Insurance to cover horse riding on our horses, anywhere in Australia. However, we highly recommend you have your own personal accident cover and/or travel insurance.

Guests will be required to sign a waiver before participating.
Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 8 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
All gift certificate sales are final and not refundable. Gift certificates can only be exchanged prior to redemption.

Jesters Flat
Jesters Flat is an Equestrian Tourism farm and vineyard situated in the charming region of Rosa Brook, 18kms East of Margaret River.
Jesters Flat has a varied group of beautiful horses, however they generally tend to be Australian Stock Horses. The current herd boasts a horse for everyone in fact, from the tiniest pony to the strongest of working horses!
Horse Riding Tours for the public are available everyday, except Thursday. We have a large range of tours and activities to suit all abilities from the absolute beginner horse rider to the accomplished Eventer. If you don't find a tour that inspires you, call us direct for a more customized option!
Generally riders need to be over 6years in age to go out on the trails.

Tours for Beginner riders:
The Country Lane Tour is an easy relaxed ride through the beautiful Margaret River Countryside. It is generally taken at a walking pace, so is suitable for all riders, even the complete beginner. The 2.5hr Saddle Club experience is ideal for those wanting to learn a little more about the care and maintenance of horses, including grooming and tacking up. It's great fun, but probably more suitable for children and teenagers.
Tours for riders who have a had a few horse riding experiences:
The Long Paddock Ride,The Twilight Tour and the Treehouse Picnic Tour are suitable for beginner style riders who would like to try a little trot (the next pace up from walking). The rides go out across farmland and through bushland areas.
Tours for riders who can trot and canter:
The 2hour Bushman's Tour is ideal for those who have ridden intermittently and can trot for an extended period of time. This ride goes further afield out into the Whicher National Park. And if you really want to stretch your legs and have a good canter, the 3hr Wanderer Tour may be a good option.
