You’ll get to know more about the history of the region at your first stop, Yering Station, which has the oldest vineyards in Victoria. They also produce a Pinot Noir which was awarded an almost perfect score in the prestigious James Halliday guide. Your next stop is Coombe Yarra Valley winery. Once the residence of famed soprano Dame Nellie Melba, the estate is set in seven acres of landscaped gardens. There you’ll enjoy a delicious two course lunch, and a glass of wine, before sampling more of their vintages. The day is rounded off with a gin tasting at Four Pillars Distillery. Started by three mates and a still called Wilma, this distillery has twice won the title of World’s Best Gin.
