From the museum you’ll go on an exciting walking tour to the different districts where Greek, Italian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian and other food cultures have taken root. Stop at five different eateries to taste delicious dishes from different cuisines and hear about their history on your journey. Between restaurants you’ll stop at local spice shops to learn about the authentic ingredients and flavours used across different world cuisines. Spend four fantastic hours indulging in all things food and culture, while getting to see some of the amazing locations and landmarks of Melbourne along the way.

Victorians come from more than 200 countries, speak 260 languages and dialects and follow 135 religious faiths. We begin our trail at the Immigration Museum. Hear the stories of arrivals from all over the world, their challenges, their triumphs and their food.
This 4-hour walking tour through the streets of Melbourne will introduce you to some of the many layers of local favourite foods, architecture, and stories of the city.
Included in your tour is:
- A visit and introduction to the Immigration Museum, including access to special exhibitions
- A progressive tasting through 4 stops of the Melbourne Foodie Culture Tour including stories around the history behind the foods and flavours of the shops
- A wander through local spice shops to learn about the spices and ingredients from the different regions
This is a walking tour; The walk from the various venues is about 30-40 minutes in total with breaks at each stop, the longest walk no more than 15 minutes. It is not fast-paced and comfortable for most people.
Vegan options are guaranteed at all stops except one. Please inform the team before the tour if you do have any dietary restrictions.
Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 8 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
