You will start your six to eight hour excursion walking through the rainforest to Dove Canyon, where you will abseil into in the 50-metre-deep valley. Once you are in, you will spend the day walking, sliding, jumping, swimming and abseiling across a course of six waterfalls. There is no more thrilling way to explore the incredible wildness of Tasmania than to get stuck in and get canyoning!

Wilderness + adrenalin + adventure = the Dove Canyon. If you are after an unforgettable experience in Tasmania, you have come to the right place. The Dove Canyon showcases wild Tasmania at its best. This trip involves a thrilling combination of jumps, slides and abseils buried in a 50 metre deep quartzite canyon. Definitely one to write home about.
One of the highlights is the Laundry Chute - a ten metre high natural slide that shoots you out of a large cave (which we call The Pit) into a big open pool. Very unique and highly exhilarating.
This option is for the adventurous and intrepid. You do not need any previous canyoning or abseiling experience, but we recommend customers are physically fit, MUST be able to swim and have a great sense of adventure.

You MUST be able to swim for the Dove Canyon tour.
A minimum of two customers is required to run a tour. You will be notified at least 24 hours prior to the trips departure if the trip is likely to be cancelled due to a single person booking.
Please note: park fees are not included in the tour price. We recommend arriving early and purchasing passes from the Visitor Information Centre prior to the trip departure.
This is a committing trip - once you're in, there's only one way out and there is no way to walk around any of the waterfalls. Having said that, most participants have no canyoning experience, and it doesn't require any particular skills as such - just an ability to swim and a sense of adventure.
Lunch is included on the Dove Canyon tour. Please make it known beforehand if you have any specific dietary requirements.
If you have a medical condition or pre-existing injury that may affect your ability to participate on the tour, please make this known upon booking. Similarly, if you have any medication that you need to bring with you on the tour, this must be declared when booking.
Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 8 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
All gift certificate sales are final and not refundable. Gift certificates can only be exchanged prior to redemption.
