You'll meet your captain at Carter’s Cove Marina, where your vessel for the journey ahead will be docked. After a short safety briefing, you and your guests can board your boat to begin the morning sail! Sit back and relax as you cruise along the Rappahannock River, even passing under the Robert O. Enjoy a leisurely mid-morning sail on the Rappahannock River. Bring your favorite brunch items along (We like the locally crafted doughnuts from Chesapeake Doughnut Co. and coffee and smoothies from The Local).
We leave the dock at 10am and sail under the iconic Norris Bridge before returning to Carter’s Creek around noon. This trip is great for family or friends who want to enjoy being out on the water for a relaxing and unique brunch experience.
All of our adventures begin with an introduction to the vessel, our beloved 36’ Columbia Galene, and a safety briefing. We depart from the marina and motor out of the harbor and into the Rappahannock River, where the sailing begins in earnest.
What to bring
You may bring a small cooler with your food and beverage of choice, although no glass is permitted onboard .Over-consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
Dress in layers as conditions on the water can be warmer/colder that you might expect from the land climate. Please bring appropriate footwear for the boat, quick drying clothes (synthetic layers are great), swimsuit & towel (if you plan to swim), sunscreen, and a rain coat (just in case!).
There is plenty of room and privacy in the cabin to store your belonging and change clothes. You may wish to bring a camera or smart phone, although we do not assume any liability for their protection from the elements.
All ticket sales are final and not refundable. Reservations cannot be changed, rescheduled or refunded once confirmed. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
